Pink Fused Aluminum Oxide contain chromium oxide, which gives the material its pink color. The incorporation of Cr2O3 into the Al2O3 crystal lattice produces an increase in toughness and a reduced friability compared with White Fused Aluminum Oxide.

The main component of pink corundum is α-alumina, also called chromium corundum or ruby.

The main mineral composition is α-Al2O3-Cr2O3 solid solution.

The secondary mineral composition is a small amount of composite spinel (or no composite spinel) and refractory bricks with a chromium oxide content of 1% to 30%.

Chrome corundum uses aluminum oxide as the main raw material and is adapted to chromium oxide, etc. Made by smelting at high temperatures. It is pink in color, has a hardness similar to that of white corundum, and has higher toughness than white corundum. The abrasive tools made of it have good durability and high grinding finish. Suitable for precision grinding of measuring tools, machine tool spindles, instrument parts, threaded workpieces and template grinding.
