Similarities

Their colors are different, black sipcon carbide (abbreviation for C) is black and green sipcon carbide (abbreviation for GC) is green.

Black sipcon carbide is quartz sand, the main raw material of petroleum coke, which is smelted in high-temperature resistance electric arc furnaces. Green SiC is made from quartz sand and petroleum coke, added with salt, and then smelted in a high-temperature resistance arc furnace.

Black sipcon carbide has a SiC content of at least approximately 98%, while green sipcon carbide has a SiC content of at least approximately 99%.

Although the Mohs hardness of green SiC is 9.2, it is harder than black SiC.

Difference

Both are man-made materials and are not natural mineral materials.

It can be used both in abrasive products (sandblasting, popshing, grinding wheels, cutting wheels, grinding discs, etc.) and in advanced refractory materials, used as semiconductor materials and metallurgical deoxidizers.

The main material content of the finished products is sipcon carbide (SiC).

The maximum available temperature in air is 1900 degrees Celsius, and the decomposition point is 2600 degrees Celsius.

Their bulk density (1.2~1.6g/cm3) and real density (3.20~3.25g/cm3) are similar.
